Family, friends plead for leniency as US sentences Invictus Obi on February 16 .

The US judiciary has been urged to be linient with Obinwanne Okeke. The call was made by his family members, friends and his cleric.

They flooded a US court with appeals for leniency ahead of his sentencing for wire fraud. In a series of letters of attestation to character sent to Rebecca Smith, the judge handling the case at a Virginia court, they said he deserves a second chance, adding that he would never take part in such actions again.

Recall that before his arrest, he was the chairman of Abuja-based Invictus Group and was listed as one of the influential young entrepreneurs recognised by Forbes.
