900 LASTMA, FRSC to manage traffic, as 3rd Mainland Bridge is shut Friday

No fewer than 900 officers of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA, and the Federal Road Safety Corp, FRSC, have been deployed to manage traffic on Third Mainland Bridge and alternative routes, as the bridge will be partially closed on July 24 for repair.
Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu disclosed this on Thursday, just as he appealed to residents of the State to exercise patience and bear the discomfort that would be experienced from the six-month partial closure of the Third Mainland Bridge, which starts Friday (tomorrow) evening.
The Governor said the closure of the 11.8km bridge – the busiest in the State – was inevitable, following physical deterioration observed on the structure after an integrity test conducted by the Federal Government.
