One of the officers charged for the death of George Floyd has Nigerian roots, according to The New York Times.
Alex Kueng was raised by his mother alongside adopted African-American siblings with an absentee Nigerian father. He has now been denounced by some family members.

Meanwhile, his mother, Joni Kueng, said that her son joined the police to contribute towards a change in the police department which has been accused of racism.
