Nasarawa health workers on strike after 50 of them test positive

Health workers in Nasarawa State have embarked on a strike after 50 of their colleagues testd positive for COVID-19.

The chairman of the Coalition of Nasarawa State Health Professional Associations, Dr.Bulus Umaru peter, said in the state capital Lafia that government failed to respond to their demands after the 7-day warning strike which they first embarked upon.
Their demands include promotion and annual increment of workers that have accumulated over the last 10 years; implementation of the new minimum wage ;and payment of hazard allowance and life insurance.
Dr Bulus alleged that all efforts by leaders of the coalition to make government live up to its responsibilities yielded no positive outcome.
